Lies

Even with the most innocent lie,
can come to make a loved one cry,
it starts out small then begins to grow,
letting all its poisons flow.

Negative impact on all it meets,
anger and sadness is how it treats,
those who happen to cross its track,
like a dark and devouring cloud of black.

It eats away at hearts and minds,
shaming all the souls it finds,
they blame something else as they fight,
and it tries to convince what they did was right.

Without the truth strikes depression and fear,
as the end of the lie draws very near,
you may think its such a simple thing,
but you never know what bad it may bring.
