Lies
What can you say to me that I haven’t already heard?
You haven’t even said anything, but I know your every word.
You’ll tell me that you love me; you’ll tell me that you care;
You’ll tell me that through anything, you will always be there.
I believed it once, a long time ago,
On a star filled night like this.
You told me you loved me more then anything,
But I never felt it in your kiss.
Why is it I still dream of you?
I can’t get you off my mind,
But the love you claimed so strongly before,
I still cannot find.
I think about you every moment,
But you don’t even see,
The pain you caused so long ago,
Still hasn’t let me be.
I need to leave this all behind,
A life of pain and sorrow.
So save all your wasted words,
For the girl you’ll love tomorrow.
