Lied To

I have been lied to, can someone tell me why?

I don't understand it, why would someone lie?

 

The one I shared my dreams with, someone tell me why?

Now I feel like totally confused, why would someone lie?

 

I loved you then for who you were, someone tell me why?

I love you now for who you are, why would someone lie?

 

Why you ask won't I talk to you, someone tell me why?

You were always my shining star, why would someone lie?

 

I feel like such a fool, someone tell me why?

Drifting up into your eyes, why would someone lie?

 

My heart is now broken, someone tell me why?

I can't believe you told me lies, why would someone lie?
