Was checking out Monoku and came across this one. I really like how you did this and the depth of one broken line is amazing. Gives a whole new world of expression. Will be reading more of yours. This seems like a powerful Monoku.

Thank you, Susan; I love your feedback:) A Monoku can be very expressive. For this one I chose to use a Broken Monoku because it fitted the content perfectly. Many writers think that writing a one-liner is simple and easy; in fact it is not. ~ Best regards ~ paul

Dear Paul, Great poem here as always, great poem and cool work of truth, let their pencils thus be mended by spirtual healing and then given wings of graces truth. Enjoyed what you said about the native poem, and it's a sad truth their also, so many were lost but as the pheonix of the old shall they not rise above and their voices echo once more, it is up to the great spirit to decide, and I have faith in him, as the feather flickers within the winds of generations to come forward emerge, cheri

I was referred to this short masterpiece by reading Dave's poem about the same subject and I second Andrea's comment...A perfect form chosen here. Also, I am angry and embarrassed for my country because our President did not bother to attend the anti-terrorist rally in Paris!!! - Tim

There is no "not bothering" at Presidential level, Tim. Alicia Marie, English but living in France.

Glad you came to have a look, Tim! Thank you for the favourable comments. For the President not to attend there must have been a good reason (I suppose); our Maltese Prime Minister made it a point to attend, even though we are only a small island. All the best. // paul
