Qarinage
Created by Gregory R Barden - at least three verses of the following rhyme scheme, ABBACCDD + Refrain, (the refrain repeats after every verse), with syllable counts of 10,5,5,10,5,5,11,11 + 6, (6 is the refrain), and the LAST verse must have an EXTRA line of rhyme (D, 11 syllables), and an extra line of refrain, (6 syllables), that is different but rhymes.

To everyone's discombobulation, anarchy and pain are given free rein. Democracy's losing its foundation. Russia's on attack Ukraine's pushing back. Every government official seems corrupt, political lobbyists pay to disrupt. Liberty is stumbling! Global warming is touted as fake news. Oceans are rising that's not surprising, ecologists beg, but the rich refuse. Only cash is king, Nature's their plaything. Big business steals a generation's dreams, promising paradise yet polluting streams. Liberty is stumbling! The crazies are plotting total control, creating weird cults in which hate exults without opposition; we've sold our souls. We wear a blindfold, and do what we're told. Republican fascists are fueling fears, and compassion holds no more value than tears. White cops shoot black youths, and gays are labeled queers. Liberty is stumbling, its foundation crumbling.
