Letting You Go

I guess it’s because I could have done more to keep you here, to make you stay, that I think of you time and again, and wish you hadn’t lost your way. I know that I should let you go, you chose sides, after all, but His mercy’s so great and His love’s so deep He’ll help you up after you fall. I realize now it wasn’t your actions or leaving that took you away. it was your arrogance and stupidity, a lack of faith that led you astray. Processing all the stages of grief… anger, sadness, denial… coming into the peace of acceptance, He’s helping me through this trial. So now I’m done, I’m to that point where I can feel no more pain for you. I just hope you know, I hope you see to whom you were really untrue.
