Letting Go

Poet:  Ken Jordan
Poem:  Letting Go

Child
let me tell
you
som'n,

You done
all
you could

to
instill
good morals
and
character

in
yo child.

Listen
girl,

You know
kids

think they
grown
at
eighteen -

Anxious
to do
whatever,

without there
parents permission -

Yeah
mentally,

that's where
yo Son
is -

That's why
I say
honey child,

don't take
what
he says

or do
personally,

you gave
it
Yo  All.

Now
it's time,

to
let go,
and
Let God -

Girl
don't
you know,

yo Son
will
find his
way?

believe
THAT!
