Letting Go

Darkness covers me from head to toe
I’m hurting inside more than you know.
I try to get out, try to open my eyes
But all I can see are the dark cloudy skies.
There’s no hope for me I’m too far gone
You can’t make me happy not even by song.
The darkness grips me ever so tight
I try to get free, I try with all my might.
I struggle and struggle until I can’t anymore
I beat him almost ten times before!
But this time is different, I hang my head down
My strength slowly drains and I’m almost dead.
The strength leaves my body, up to my last toe
I won’t say goodbye, no not before I go.
