Letter of Deception

you use me one time and you are addicted to me
you just can't get enough of me
if you can't have me then lay in pain on your bed or floor
just aching and wanting more
once isn't enough
you need me
i ruined your life
you have no job
no money
no family or friends
yet you still want me
i make you violent
i make you confused
depressed and suicidal
will your aching for me ever subside
you know you want me
you know you need me
i make your mother cry in worry
waiting for you to come home
but you don't because you can't leave me
she crys because you won't eat or sleep
she crys for your heartache and pain that you endure
everyday from me
but she loves you anyway
like the way you love me

Thank you everyone...I went thru some trying times with my son who is 20...he has been clean for 2 months and takes life day by day. And that is all I can ask of him. He wanted to quit for himself and no one else. Although I do not agree with the decisions he has made I had to stand behind and with him. If at anytime a child has ever needed the love and support of a parent it was definitely then and now....thank you!

Thanks for entering my contest, Cheryl and congratulations on your HM. I think you captured the horrors of this (and other addictions) wonderfully.

Congratulations on the HM. I knew it was a drug of some kind. Was waiting to see which! You described very well what that drug does to people.
