Let's Be Mindful
Strength and courage I have learned;
But respect is earned.
My eyes are opened to a brand new beginning;
So through my sight I see visions that has no ending.
As life is forever evolving and constantly changing.
I sit here with pen and paper in hand, wondering about all that should have happened.
So with my past memories I search for something to hold on to when I’m in pain.
But I try to never really complain.
Complaining will not solve that problem it will still be there.
It sometimes will bring on unwanted fear.
To tell you the truth nobody really cares.
Everything seems brand new while its all the same.
When I close my eyes so many things cross my mind.
I try to decipher the tug of war between my mind and heart.
My heart plays a tune I cannot verbalize.
But my mind becomes familiar with it and now I’m mesmerized.
Now those thoughts in my mind have become a trap so fast.
So I've learned to move on ahead and leave those bad memories in the past.
Oh don't get it twisted I learned a lot from my past, so I'm very grateful.
I'm always mindful.
