Lethal Words

I'm trying to sleep,
But I can't, when
The demons roam deep.

They don't have weapons.
They use their words,
To close the heavens.

Their tongues sting.
I still can't sleep;
Even with the darkness they bring.

They know it's painful.
They're the masters,
And my strings they control.

It's just a sound;
But my weakness,
They have found.

I listened intently;
Maybe there's a way out,
They hurt me so gently.

My soul they want to apprehend,
But maybe I'll go deaf,
Before the end.
