LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE
Go, let your light shine—let it brighten up the way;
Jesus gives the command: Go! Don’t hide your light away.
Put it on a candlestick where everyone can see;
Let the love of Jesus shine through you and me.
Go because Jesus has all authority; go because the world is wounded and cries;
Go because Babylon’s confusion is deep, and truth must arise.
Go near, go far, go with compassion; go wherever God sends you;
Carry hope to the broken and share what Jesus can do.
Go because the Creator deserves worship, honour, glory, and praise;
Go because people need to know their worth beyond numbers, statistics, and days.
They are more than consumers, more than what the world can measure or define—
They are souls created by God, precious, purposeful, and designed to shine.
Go, because God’s commandments still matter; His Word remains true;
Go because the faith of Jesus can carry us through.
Go because judgment has been announced, and evil will not last;
Go because the hour is moving, and time is moving fast.
The first, second, and third angels sounded heaven’s warning call;
We must heed the message and share the truth with all.
If we refuse to warn, how can we claim that we care?
Love must move our feet and compel us to share.
Go without murmuring; go boldly, faithfully, and bright;
Let your life be a sermon and your love be the light.
Tell your family, tell your neighbors, tell the weary and the lost:
Jesus died, Jesus lives, Jesus saves—He paid the ultimate cost!
We are sinners saved by grace, with a story we can tell;
So wherever we are standing, let our witness ring out well.
Go, because the King is coming—lift your eyes and see;
The golden morning is dawning; soon our Savior will be.
He will descend with a shout, and the trumpet will sound;
The dead in Christ will rise, and redemption will abound.
Every eye shall see Him; our waiting will be done;
Sin, sickness, death, pain, and tears will be overcome.
Until that glorious morning, let us faithfully obey;
Let Jesus be seen in our living, in our loving, every day.
Go because the King is coming; go because the world needs light;
Go because Jesus has all authority; go and stand for what is right.
Go where you are—your home, your workplace, your street, your town;
Go let your light shine when the world is falling down.
Shine bright, shine boldly; let Jesus be seen, known, and heard—
Go, let your light shine! Live out the Word!
For the darkness cannot conquer the light divine—GO WHERE YOU ARE, AND LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
