Let You Go

as the tears run down
I watch you go
no point in reason
your heart already closed

you didn't turn around
but I didn't want you to see
the effect of your words had on me
so I just let you go

my heart too sore and bitter
to ever let you in again
from friends to a lover
to impossible to be even a friends

as i watch you leave
my heart it aches
for even the best of actor
couldn't produce the best fake

i let you go
because i just couldnt believe
the power that you had over me
so i just let you go
