Happy Mother's Day

My poem is for all mothers globally. May we collectively pray for love and light and peace to permeate the darkness and create a better world for ourselves and our children. 

Let this Mother's Day have a deeper meaning

Today is Mother's Day 
We celebrate it with loved ones dear
Throughout the world we feel its peace
The love we share far and near

But it's not possible for all families 
When separated by war and strife
Sometimes the thing they're grateful for
Is being able to survive the night

So, let's all take a moment in silence 
To send prayers of blessings and goodwill
For protection and hope and faith 
To send good and mercy to all

To say thank you for all we have
To appreciate wisdom and freedom 
To hold on to our hope and faith
Focus on positivity and keep believing 

So, don't let the hope die
Let this Mother's Day have a deeper meaning 
For everyone needs a mother 
And love and light and freedom
