Let the Slugard Delight To Sleep and Slumber

Let the slugard deligth to sleep and slumber
For he wakes up to yearn and not to earn;
His farm he leaves for rodents to plunder
But in harvest, in a bitter way he learns.

His idle hands someday will learn to do mischief
For such are the devil's erand boy,
His mouth dies for food and he might soon be a thief
And at last he is a prey for the law to destroy .

A slothful man hides his hands in his pockets
Not once will he use it to plough, prune or plant
He is afraid of the summer rays and winter rockets:
Soon he lives to beg from the ant .

By his laziness his little hut decays,
Termites hide in his wooden wares undisurbed
'Everything wil be allright someday' he says
When friends and folks advise him, for his heart is blurred.

Oh little one, that little hands of yours
Should be soaked in the quest to be the best,
Tap from the bee's fire... take the fruitful course
Until your good is better and better best.
