Let the Driver Beware
By Elton Camp
Intending another driver to malign,
Joe lifted a finger in an obscene sign
The crude act he didn’t wisely choose
For the other man had a very short fuse
A bullet crashed in from the rear
Giving Joe good cause to fear
His accelerator he rammed to the floor
The other car overtook him with a roar
A volley of bullets whizzed by his head
“Oh no!” said Joe, “I’m gonna be dead!”
Soon his car with holes was riddled
Because with a psycho he had fiddled
There’s a lesson in this for you and me
Filled with courtesy our driving should be
If an inclination to rudeness we feel
Think who might be behind the wheel
