LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN

week after week
we've continued to see
mankind's violence
and brutality
everyday someone is being killed
by a gun
no peace, no harmony
no community living as one

let the church say amen
let's shout hallelujah to God
let's worship, witness and praise Him
from the depths of our hearts

we're disenfranchised, disconnected
we've no community and no cohesiveness
and the people have the nerve to wonder why
they have not been blessed

let the church say amen
let's shout hallelujah to God
let's worship, witness and praise Him
from the depths of our hearts

we need to develop a relationship
with the Lord Christ
for He is the author
and the finisher of all life
we need to acknowledge His authority
come to see
that through Him there's love
and a foundation for community

so let's gather together
In houses of God
ve it a mosque, a temple or a church
whichever calls to your heart

let the church say Amen
let's shout hallelujah to God
let's worship, witness and praise Him
from the depths of our hearts

God will give you a new perspective
and point of view
and no matter what's happening in your life
He will take care of you

So let the church say amen
let us shout hallelujah to He
let us worship, witness and praise the God
who values love and community

let the church say Amen
let us shout hallelujah to God
let us be worshippers and witnesses praising Him
from the depths of our hearts

let the church say Amen
