Let Me Touch the Ones I Love

If I have to live, and I suppose I must,
in this world both good and bad --
let me touch the ones I love
and remember good times we've had.
If arms and hearts are opened wide
and bid me to come in,
let me touch the ones I love
in a different way than I'd touch just a friend.

Let me touch the ones I love --
Let me touch them with my song.
Let me touch them with the things they need
to see them through when life goes wrong.
When hopes and dreams are there to share
and shine like stars above --
Let me be there through it all --
Let me touch the ones I love.
