Let Me Live In Darkness

LET ME LIVE IN DARKNESS

                                     BY DR RANJIT DUTTA

I have been listening
Your call
Your voice is very vivid
But alas!
I have not recognized you!
Even failed to recollect
your identity!
I have not seen anything
As I have removed my spectacle
And now I feel comfortable .
But When I put it
In my eyes
I face immense difficulties
The real image of man
Reflects in my spectacle .
How long will I visualized
The double faces of these funny people?
I am bored!
I am frustrated to see their
Acceptance of darkness with a smile
They are one step forward in darkness
And two steps backward in daylight.
So funny!
Hence I put off my glass
At least I 'll not see those snobs .
Hello, Please don't shout !
I have not come out to the threshold
At the call of my soul
My room is dark and deep
Please do not come in
I know you will go back
With anguish shouting some slangy
And will continue your race after mirage
Let me live in darkness too !
Let me see beauty of light from darkness
Keeping a distance
Far away from you.
