Tribute poem to all my elder friends, mentors and family alive and passed.
Ninety years already, life continues to amaze Respecting elders - meaningful, polite phrase Spent too much time living in a daze Now I'm learning to maximize my days Stifle your opinions, let me have my say My favorite dessert - special treat for today Let me ahead in line, won't mean much anyway A seat with a view, let me enjoy my stay Breaking a hundred seems to be a craze What does the end look like through the haze? Continued care senior living - another life phase Longevity issues, probing questions it does raise I've come a long way Tried my best not to stray Let me have this day Maybe my last, it's okay This day, my day
