Let Me Cry In Peace

Don't ask me what's wrong, right now  I don't need help
And no I don't think I can do everything by myself
Just let me cry in peace

Don't give me your positive thinking quotes
Hoping that they will alleviate the weight I must currently tote
Just let me cry in peace

No right now I don't need to pray
Truth be told I wouldn't know what to say
Just let me cry in peace

I know that your efforts are well intended
But your desire for me to quickly get over this causes me to be quite offended
Just let me cry in peace

Grief is a process that heals with time
So please stop asking me to give you a fake "I'm doing just fine"
Just let me cry in peace

I love this as it is near and dear to me during a grief. I also got a bit emotional reading this as I could put myself right back into that feeling. Good write. Tony
