Let Me Be Me
Why won't you let me do just
What I want to do?
I try to be just who I wanna be.
But you won't let me be me.
Every morning when I
Get outta bed all I can think
About is you in my head.
You tell me do this, Do that
Eat this,Wear that.
Keep your distance it
Might get rough cause you
Never know when I'll
Get tough.
Let me be me
I wanna be just who I am
Let me be me
I know I can.
I wanna reach up to the sky.
Just let me reach way up high.
Now that I know who I am,
Let me be me
When we're hangin out,
You tell me what to do
And it makes me want to shout.
I'm tired of bein told what to do.
When I'm alone with you I just wanna
Be who I am.
