Let Me Be

I'm quite busy
Just let me be
You're calling me on my telephone
But I won't answer it - leave me alone

Please don't grieve
I just need you to leave
I need my alone time - can't you understand?
I guess you haven't a clue where I stand
Just let me be
Let me be
Let me be
And let it be...
Let it be...

I'm quite in a hurry
I don't mean to make you worry
You're calling me on my telephone, but I'm on my own
So, don't call this number again...listen to the silent tone

Please don't grieve
I just need you to leave
I need my alone time - can't you understand?
I guess you haven't a clue where I stand
Just let me be
Let me be
Let me be
And let it be...
Let it be...

We are broken, but we can be fixed
We are not sad; we are frankly pissed
I'd love it if you'd leave me be in my solitude
Then, I'd teach myself the attitude of gratitude

Please don't grieve
I just need you to leave
I need my alone time - can't you understand?
I guess you haven't a clue where I stand
Just let me be
Let me be
Let me be
And let it be...
Let it be...

Just let me be for now on
Forget about me from dusk to dawn
I'm sorry I had to let you go
Let that wicked wind blow...
Let it blow in your ears,
Saying for many, many years:

Just let me be
Let me be
Let me be
And let it be...
Let it be...
