[Sing to the tune of "Yesterday" by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. I based my parody on the original words the Beatles played around with, "Scrambled Eggs."]

Let Me Be

Let me be
With your troubles do not bother me
I am busy, is that so hard to see,
Oh please, dear…please just let me be

Take a walk
At my good advice you balk
I have tried to tell you what to do
You need someone else to listen to....

Obviously, you’ll
Have your way in spite of what I say

" Love this part! L Milton Hankins October 6, 2021 at 12:51 PM I'm still wondering if this really will work with the tune. I tried to sing it, but couldn't remember all of the tune. One of my favorite Beatles songs. I should have chosen a song easier to work with like "Happy Birthday to You!"

I must admit I wanted to write my new lyric for "Let It Be," but the melody to "Yesterday" just kept coming to mind, so I went that direction with it. I used the original lyrics "Scrambled Eggs" as my guide. There is a story behind the song "Yesterday" that many do not know. Incidentally, I also wrote my first Andaree. Hope you like it. If I screwed it up, let me know.
