Let it be

Let it be.


Let me flow through you like a beautiful love song.
Let our days together be joyous and oh so long,
So I can enjoy your being along for the ride.
Let today be a good day, with only happy tears to be cried.


Let me fill up with pride when I talk about her.
Let her walk in my footsteps to see how much I love her.
Let her soul be for real, like the scars formed from the hurt,
Only true love can cause and I will never cause it to her.


Let it be that she can see the truth I speak,
For within me is only pure honesty.
Let her truly understand the poetic words I speak,
For she has inspired many, but none more than me.


Let her light up a room as she walks into it.
Let her switch off the lights when we are creating a kid.
Let our bond last forever in marital bliss.
Let me go before I lose her, for that I could not cope with.


Let me meet her in the next life and as we each walk into Heaven.
Let me spend my days with her, not a few, but every seven.
Let us talk about everything we think is a godsend.
Let our story be written and told again and again.


Let the history books show that she is all I know,
All that I see, all that I hope,
Will be with me throughout all time.
Let me be with her, for that would be sublime.


Let me show her my words and pictures too.
Let me live with her from now on,
Under all the rest of the moons.
Let me wake up next to her until the day I do not awaken.
Let this love become and never forsaken.


Let us bind together with these golden rings.
Please let us love each other,
For she is my Queen...
Let me be her King.
