Let Him In
He says, "Anyone", and that's you and me.
He knows everything that we are about.
But what can he do if we shut him out?
Standing at the door, he knocks.
How long will he stand and wait?
By our choice the door is locked.
How many times will he knock?
Only he knows for sure,
And he alone has the cure.
Everything he offers is free,
But we alone hold the key.
No entry can occur until
Our will removes the shield.
It's been shown throughout history
That not even he can force an entry.
It matters not the depth of our sins.
It's in our best interest to let him in.
No matter what we've done or where we've been.
He ever waits, and his patience never wears thin.
He loves us still and only wants us to let him in.
There's never to be found a better friend.
But he can only help us if we let him in.
