Let Her Teardrops Speak the Truth

I had a friend who once asked me, for some good advice He wanted to know exactly what I thought, about his future wife I said man it's not up to me, and should he need some proof Just look into her deep blue eyes, and let her teardrops speak the truth He looked at me in disbelief, half smiled along the way He wondered where I'd come up with that, Where had I heard such a thing I said trust me man you'll realize, Just do as I have told And let her teardrops speak the truth, if you truly need to know Let her teardrops speak the truth Let them tell you how she feels There's a difference between the happy ones And the sad ones that she feels Don't wipe away the happy ones Let them fall down endlessly Become her everything and all That she will ever need Don't ignore the falling sad ones And Wipe the pain from here eyes Remember you can't stop them all But at least you have to try The difference should be easy I hope you realize A woman's soul is like a mirror If you look into her eyes When you lay her down and make sweet love For the very first time That all telling tear should come on out That right there will be your sign Then take her in your arms And hold onto her so tight So the pain of all her past loves go And she knows that this is right But should the tears last more than a few You may want to look the other away That's her telling you she still feels for The one who got away Let her teardrops speak the truth Let them tell you how she feels There's a difference between the happy ones And the sad ones that she feels Don't wipe away the happy ones Let them fall down endlessly Become her everything and all That she ever needs Don't ignore the falling sad ones And wipe the pain far from here eyes Remember you can't stop them all But at least give it a try Well my buddy came to see me A few weeks down the road Said I can't thank you for the advice enough But I had to let her go You see those tears were telling Just like you claimed they'd be It's when we made love it became so clear That who she loved, wasn't me So though I'm saddened Now Please accept my apologies My understanding is now better Her tears were all the proof I'd need I said that is what I'm here for Should you ever need advice Now come over here, let's drink a beer And get on with our lives Don't worry about tomorrow We still have our youth And should you feel the need to shed a tear Let your teardrop speak the truth.....
