Let Her Be Happy

I didn’t have the chance to show
My real feelings, but this poem shows it
I really liked you but I am a coward
Afraid of everything that could happen onward

I was afraid that I will be denied
I was afraid that I will be criticized
Afraid that my friends would laugh
Afraid that I will never be enough

What if I hurt your feelings?
I don’t want to see you crying
Especially if it’s because of me
So I chose not to and just remain as it is

Even if I didn’t step up for you
I can say that I am thankful
Cause I can see you with him happy
I hope he will do it continuously

But there will always be regrets
Cause my feelings for you never left
I always think about on how we met
And I was so happy at that moment

This is my farewell to you
In all the things you do
I hope you stay happy
Just know that I liked you truly

And I will always be here waiting for you
And expecting that I will have the courage to do the things I haven’t done last time
