Let Go and Let Live

There is sun after the rain
Let me first catch my fast train
Greed will leave you with no gain
There is healing after pain

Leave your worries in the drain

I did not notice you have gone astray
Wasting away like the gray of today
Well, God is here and He will lead the way
For now, let go of remaining dismay

I still have hope that we will be okay

Not much in mind – it does not make sense
But, make sure to make my shoulders less tense
Throw away regrets and seek repentance
God’s mercy gives us hope and acceptance

Waiting for a sign of deliverance

I am feeling more and more on my own
But, I have faith that I am not alone
Reminders of the past, like a ringing phone,
Kept repeating my downfalls, far from unknown

I believe His light of truth will be shown

There is hope in store – can’t mope anymore
Life is not always a thought to ignore
Maybe the reason you closed the door
Is because you have lost something you adore

Well, I know what you’re looking for…

I am not buying your little mind games
All I have left is thrown into the flames
I remember the times you called me fowl names
Somehow, I will forgive you with no shames

No one needs to take the blames

There is life after demise
No need to be fooled – be wise!
Do not fall for bitter lies
Instead, give ear to our cries

Doubt no more, poor weeping eyes!

JW, a compelling write and rhyme scheme. I like how your fifth line of each stanza kind of sums up and reiterates that stanza, very effective I think. I truly enjoyed your write!

I like this. A brave attempt as a difficult rhyming scheme that by and large works. Your ideas blend nicely into a unified whole. Excellent work here. JH
