Let Down

I counted on you when the chips were down,
as the insurance spins me round and round.
I looked to you as a guiding light,
I find my trust was not placed right.
What happened here? I'd like to know,
as you read to me what the report did show.
You can not back me this I fear.
You want no confrontation here.
Who will go to bat for me?
I guess I'll have to wait and see.
My heart it broke in a thousand pieces,
I thought that you were my adhesive.
I wonder how you sleep at night...
when by your patients you don't do right.

Your words are descriptive and float their message onto the page with a steady hand and a splash of anger that captures the reader's imagination and attention. A good rhyming poem. Emile.
