Lessons of Life
Learning to forgive oneself through the storm
Learning to shed no tears after the rain has passed by
Learning to hold your head high no matter what comes along
Learning to believe that your beautiful even with scars
Learning to enjoy the little things in life soar and fly
Learning to understand that pain lasts only a season
Learning to better myself for I do stumble and fall
Learning to gain knowledge from these words I speak
For no matter how far in life or where you come from
For the times you had to lose having your last cry
For life tries to bring you down but be steadfast yet strong
For your wounds are what make you unique to get you far
For we have wings yet to see our potential touching the sky
For knowing everything that happens in life no matter how cruel at times does have it's reason
For this journey called life has it's highs and lows but still give it your all
For we have the talent yet to be seen from the mountain peak
This life to live can only be done once don't take it for granted
The love and peace within is everlastingly enchanted
All to say life is hard to grasp sometimes we maybe different but are one in the same
And our trials shall test us but with pain shall be the strength to overcome
The lessons of life can't all be said by this one poem of mine
But it has rare gems in it to teach and to save if you ever need a lifeline
My food for thought I wanted to write about and share
For these are filled with nothing but unyielding love compassion and care
