Lessons From Life When Simple
Lessons From Life When Simple
(From my Grandfather)

My grandparents lived on the farm and had ten children.
This was a time when large families we’re a requirement and each child had a job. (didn’t have to hire any labor that way) and at a time when all
planting and harvesting was done by hand or animals.
Two things my mom told me when I was a youngster was that Grand-pa had told them was “Always tell the truth and let the chips fall where they will” and that he “had never heard of anyone dying from hard work.”
Great advice coming from people who lacked a formal education.
Those two things have always stuck with me throughout my life and served me well.
