Lessons For My Child
Life lessons I’ve learnt, my child, I’ll tell you,
in journey of life keep the 12 things in view.
Be careful what you say,
for with it you create or decay.
Think of failure not as an end in pain,
for the sun sets to rise again.
Take small steps of chance you access
to reach the summit of success.
Rule your mind, discard the negativity,
you’ll find the way to be happy.
You can’t control circumstances, react wisely,
for you’re the master of your destiny.
Don’t ever envy and hate,
these consume and destroy you as your fate.
Bestow divine gift of forgiveness and move on,
feel the burden of grievance and grudge gone.
Be grateful for love and kindness you adore,
get these more, being humble and obliged more.
Moral character and right attitude you build,
your honor and image these will shield.
Your most valuable asset is your health,
nurture and protect it more than any wealth.
Learn virtues of patience and trust, and wait,
things will happen if you’ve positive mindset.
All problems have solutions, I should aver,
never give up, my child, never waver.
