Lessons

For every ticking of the clock...
     another lessons learned.
To someone near or someone far,
     it matters not at all.
Will we listen...yes or no,
to what this lesson tries to show.
Or will we simply pass it off,
     and let it's teaching go.
I know tis true...it is a fact...
that those ignored will soon be back,
to give us yet another turn...
and maybe this time we will learn.
So my friend...do not lose heart,
for this is how we all must start.
First one lesson...then another,
for the earth you see is like a mother.
