Less Has To Be More
Rolling out of bed
The coffee programmed for 5
The water hits his head
So do the thoughts – flowing through his mind
He gently kisses her good morning
The kids won’t see him till tonight
An image of success
Sick and tired of his own life
Times rushing by so quickly
Life’s moving on
Like water - rushing through a river
The current grows strong
He feels like he is drowning
As he walks out the door
He’s beginning to wonder
Less has to be more
Less has to be more
Another big deal
Another successful day
But the money doesn’t matter
When the drinks can’t hide the pain
The beautiful fairy tale story
Becomes a nightmare American dream
Be careful what you wish for
Life starts bursting at the seams
Times rushing by so quickly
Life’s moving on
Like water - rushing through a river
The current grows strong
He feels like he is drowning
As he walks out the door
He’s beginning to think
Less has to be more
Less has to be more
So learn to live in the moment
You have all you’ll ever need
The more that you desire
Your life lived in poverty
Times rushing by so quickly
Life’s moving on
Like water - rushing through a river
The current grows strong
Keep your head above the water
As you walk right out the door
The important things in life
Less has to be more
Less has to be more
