Less Connected
Everyday I feel less connected,
Less connected to humanity,
Drifting away, I'm isolated,
Losing whatever they call sanity,
My heart aches with the more that I learn,
People are so indulged in a big lie,
Manipulated into closing their minds,
Turning a blind eye,
To the torture and cruelty,
To the greed and poverty,
Happening before us,
Blissfully unaware of the bad impact,
Made from not doing anything,
Closing their minds, their ears to the fact,
That we are causing a mass extinction ,
The is humanity's condition,
Humanity's affliction.
Humanity's decision,
Humanity's distinction,
Where is the recognition?
Ignorance is destroying lives,
Ignorance is creating lives,
Ignorance is your life,
Only you can change your life.
