Lemurs
The Lemurs of Madagascar are such a delight,
furry and friendly, with eyes that stare bright!
Like us they have fingers and opposable thumb’s,
and two legs to walk on, as they show off their bum’s.
Like us they have nail’s instead of ten claw’s,
Like those dog’s and cat’s who walk on their paw’s.
Like us they are clever and even wage war,
when rival’s of their species, push them too far.
Like us they have courage, cheek and invent,
new way’s so cunning , outwitting with scent.
Like them we are cautious , we run and we snoop,
we are wary and suspicious if you’re not in our group.
It’s no wonder I’ve heard it, time and again,
we humans evolved from imp’s such as them!
