Such poetic candy/medicine makes me hungry for chocolate covered strawberries and and a tall glass of milk. Lemon drops a bit sour to me now but as a kid I loved them. That and a candy called - "redhots". I did so dearly hate the taste of any medicine when I was a child. And a candybar- named - Zero-- was then my favorite. I believe they still make it. A fav.

I had strep throat, had to bark back up all the bile I was reading. Barley sugar is better than lemon drops, but like vinegar lemon washes away the crap.
