Legacy

Little child, eyes so bright, If I could read your mind tonight, Would I see places where I've been, Or, some that I've not seen. Child with hope, child with dreams, Let not us tempt you with our schemes. Let innocence and purity Your message always be. My child, the world you see -- It's partly you and partly me. Today it's mine, tomorrow yours -- Of that, you can be sure. I will go and you will stay -- And, when tomorrow comes your way, To someone else who may be weak, Truth, through you, I hope, will speak.
