Lefttover Pains

Do you enjoy leftovers?
I used to pile them on a plate.
Knowing that the food was rancid,
And eating would ignite my hate.

The morsels were horrendous,
And they caused my wrath to swell.
My soul cried out 'I've had enough'
I can no longer stand the smell.

I really could not help myself,
For my hunger had no end.
Then my heart asked for forgiveness,
And this made my soul extend.
