Leftfield

I see a Nation that was great but has now faltered
As it will be their own fate in now being so altered
Everybody standing in leftfield so afraid of the right
And what has been the yield of those without sight

What was once at it's core implanted so long ago
It seems to be no more and it only seems to grow
With eight other positions yet there they all stand
God provides all provisions that come to this land

With the curtain now falling as so does the sun set
What's most appalling is the things that they all let
A quick process in looking over such nations before
Things already a mess now even center is ignored

The game in the final inning as the leftfielders bat
No chance of winning but they never cared about that
As the first one strikes out the others just walk away
Yet have not doubt God is watching all you fools play
