Left overs

Dinner was enjoyed and friends have gone home.
And now we sit here together alone.

Digesting the food and remembering the laughter
Forgetting about clean up until the day after

A time of feasting and family fun
slowing the pace from lifes frantic run

When its all over and you stop to rest
Thinking of how well you are blessed

Do not fret that the holiday is through
For like left overs from dinner there are
left over memories to look forward to
