Left Or Right

There was a choice to be made a decision he had to make
And yet he was so afraid though it was not for his own sake
See, earlier a way had been taken as such things are betrayed
Now was the time to be awaken so he knelt down and prayed

So many memories came back, deep within his young mind
And where he went off track and the trouble he would find
But continuing to pray in going back to the faith he once had
Looking back on that day I never seen anyone looking so sad

But that day was so long ago, in this the life he has now lead
For all the things he didn't know were right there in his head
They broke up after that but we're able to agree on one thing
There the two families sat and on this day it would now bring

As he opened up the envelope his wife sitting there at his side
Such a great letter of hope that they just sat there and cried
The decision he made years ago was now eighteen years old
As he would finally come to know what his heart had once told
