Left behind

In the quiet dawn, where shadows linger,
Empty spaces echo, each thought a stinger.
The Bible speaks of joy in pain,
Yet my heart aches like a heavy chain.

Once laughter filled these hollow halls,
Now silence greets my whispered calls.
Moments shared, now bittersweet,
Only memories remain, incomplete.

Where is the joy in this heavy cost?
In the landscape of sorrow, I feel so lost.
Perseverance, they say, will rise above,
Yet all I crave is warmth and love.

Each day unfolds, a weary fight,
Navigating darkness, longing for light.
Suffering binds me in its tight embrace,
A cruel teacher, devoid of grace.

How can I rejoice when grief’s the song?
When each breath feels like it’s taking too long?
I wander through the remnants of what used to be,
Seeking peace in a world that no longer sees me.

The tapestry of loss, woven deep,
In the corners of my heart, secrets I keep.
So I move through the days, all alone,
Learning to exist, with this pain I feel to the bone.

Though joy eludes me in this endless pain,
I'll breathe through the silence, and learn to remain.
For in the shadows, perhaps hope may shine,
Then one day maybe I won't feel that I've been left behind.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
