Left Behind

Left Behind

The hardest moment in my life will find me when you leave.
I will say that I am fine, and I just hope that you believe.
As I stand up tall and straight, I will try to hide my tears.
But inside my heart will break with the beginning of many new fears.

Who will I turn to in my hour of need, what will I do?
It’s hard to imagine my life without having you.
I’m thankful for our time and the love that we have shared.
I just want you to know I’ll miss you and that I’ve always cared.

Each night I’ll think of your smile and the strength that you’ve displayed.
I will keep your memory close, and I will never let it fade.
I’ll always think of you happy and smiling, that will help to ease the pain.
Your next chapter will be tremendous, so my loss will be your gain.
