Leaving For Love

To leave before I hurt again,
is what I must do.
To look into your eyes, the
pain I guess you don't see.
My body trembling every-
time you are next to me,
I guess you don't feel.
To hear your voice, the love
I feel every time, I guess you don't.
Not wanting to leave,
but must.
Wanting to be your friend,
but not sure how.
Wanting to be your friend,
but not allowed.
To hurt knowing what I know.
Just remember one thing,
I left because I love you,
not for hating you.
