Leave Me Be

Flowers greet the morning sun Adorning where you sleep, Yet I cannot bear their beauty For the hurt, it lies too deep. Winter days 'midst bitter cold More reflect my mood, I seek no warmth or comfort Oh grant me solitude. I do not wish to see the world Begone with trifling things, Just leave me be, disconsolate To bear what sorrow brings.
