Leave Me Alone

I want to be alone,
In a world of my own,
Away from trouble and strife
To dream of a life
That is happy and gay,
Not like today.

Todays world is a mess,
I must confess,
It makes me cry,
When so many die.

The pandemic is a curse,
Human Nature made it worse.
Some can't see further than their nose,
I suppose.

I feel the need to build a wall
So I can't be seen at all.
Close my eyes and ears to destruction,
And all the unnecessary corruption.
That is in this world today,
Until it goes away,
Please, leave me alone.
