Learning To Live

Wishful thinking it’s all I have, tough times ahead on this rocky path.

I lay awake thinking of life, but nothing seems to work out right.

Could I be cursed with all bad luck or does faith take over when there’s no strength left?

If I’m afraid of what comes next, will you hold my hand with every step?

I daydream and wonder what life really means and I hold on to hope that this life improves.

I fear I will fail if I can’t finish the fight so I plead for a miracle to help me pull through.

Obstacles appear as an illusion of troubles, all the ones we seem to fear the most.

Could fear itself make us stronger or is fear what keeps us from moving on?

Sometimes in life few choices remain for dreams are not given nor bought only earned.

This life I live has taught me things no person or book could teach,

And I believe that God’s great path was meant to twist and turn.

There are no roads to follow or people to show you the way,

Just all our life long lessons we learn from every day.
