Lean On Me

You can lean on me any time of day I'm there for you, I won't run away. I'm here to help so you don't fall And improve your stature so you walk tall. When on a hike, down a country lane I'll support you there in sun or rain. We can climb mountains with great pride As long as we take it all in our stride. When old and struggling to get out of your chair Just reach for me, as I shall be there; You can expect your helping aide So you won't feel sad and so dismayed. An old broken branch I was when found And you raised me up off the dirty ground. You fashioned me into a walking stick, From that day on we truly did click. So, I'm so grateful that you came my way I will always support you, come what may. In gratitude I will serve you happily, All I ask is that you lean on me.
